Our Story

Crafted 1885 was created in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, by a local family. It was truly a labour of love, using local contractors, local artists and local materials to renovate the restaurant. Located in the Old Antonio’s, our renovated decor was crafted out of the shingles and wood from a 160 year old local barn.

From our beautiful mural of Erie Beach from local artist Melani Pyke, to our laminated historical facts and postcards on our tables, to our Victorian history talks, to our Loganberry shakes and Purple Lizard Loganberry vodka coolers, representing our local history has always been and continues to be important to us. Our mural represents Snake Hill Grove which was created in 1885 and became Erie Beach Amusement Park. Crafted 1885 has always had a mission to create an atmosphere for the town to enjoy and for visitors to appreciate.

As another local family who took over ownership of Crafted 1885 in July 2021, our goal has always been to continue the great restaurant experience that was started. We are interested in giving back to the community and promoting partnerships.

Our space is always available for groups to use to meet or for fundraising or private events.

Having a restaurant has been a dream come true and we hope you continue to enjoy!
